- Jesus Christ the Light of the World
John 8:12 NIV: When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. John was brought up in a Christian home and during college and also after finishing college became involve with a lot of wrongful individuals and got involved in drugs. And has been using drugs since college. In college he engaged in such a behavior at a minimal level but after graduating and finding a job and having some decent and steady income he began to engage in the behavior in an increasing manner. To the point he could hardly go a day without been on drugs and this affected her job and was let go and also had strained his relationship with her parents. John, after losing everything including been evicted from his rented apartment and also his car been repossessed for nonpayment finally realized he has truly hit rock bottom. And at this point, his life has become so useless and is currently living off the streets totally on his own and can’t even afford a decent food and is scrambling to get by and he realizes his life is over. As he stood at this dead end, he recalled her upbringing and the testimonies that Christ can save, so he decided to go to church one Sunday. At the church services, he rededicated his life to the Lord and equally decided to enroll in the church rehabilitation program. After months and months of attending and volunteering at the church services. He was able to turn his life around for good and paid a visit to his parents one Thanksgiving holiday. They were truly surprised at their son and how his life had gotten better. And when asked what brought the change, he indicated the Lord changed his life around when all was lost, and he was in the dark. The Lord led him out of the dark of drug addiction and homelessness and at the point of death into a platform of freedom from drugs and strengthen to live a holy and righteousness life. And the church the Lord used to bring this deliverance to him has even employed him as an office administrator and maintenance lead. And is now getting back on his feet. This story is what it means as the Lord been a light of the world and that anyone who follows Him will never stay in darkness. Today if you feel you are in darkness and the darkness is eaten you away turn to The Lord Jesus Christ so He can hold your hands and lead you into a path of freedom from sin and its destructive ways into a platform of peace and Joy and a purposeful life.

Learning to Cry on the Lord Psalm 55: 16th through 17 verse 16, As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Verse 17 Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. And because of this situation he keeps on crying day in and day out, the Lord always find a way to bring about victory and success for him. Delivering him from all of his distress and this is accomplished through the Lord hearing his voice and bringing the necessary remedy or solution. Through this story, the author makes the insightful scene of the necessity to develop a healthy communication path with the Lord through consistent and persistent communication. Iris has been out of work for almost a year but has managed to keep it up to herself without letting her family and friends know about her situation. She has managed her finances well and been able to meet her routine expenses. But recently she has also been struggling with her health, and it has made life very uneasy and complicated, as with the temporary jobs she had, she cannot even perform those duties and as such be paid. She anticipates based on her current financial situation she cannot afford the next rent after paying the immediate rent. And this will cause her to be evicted and lead to the possibility of homelessness. Been hesitant and not wanting to let people know her business but knowing how critical her situation is now. She reached out to her best friend for help, this is an individual who has basically lived with her in her house. She explained all her situation to her and to her surprise as much as her friend was sympathetic and listened to her situation. The friend could not help her and indicated she is tied up with so many financial obligations. She again decided to reach out to her family, and they were really sympathized with her but equally could not help her at that point. Knowing what is about to happen to her, she decided to seek the Lord help in her situation. Committed her situation to the Lord. And during a routine visit from the Landlord and the landlord inquiring how she was doing. She realized the opening opportunity to let him know about her situation and to her surprise the landlord decided to give her a pass and indicated she should just pay what she can, and she shouldn’t worry till she had the money. And this was a landlord who had already evicted some residents just recently for falling behind on their rent and for him to be so generous to her was awesome. As Iris sat and was pondering about what had just happened, a drop of remembrance came to her mind and she recalled how she had prayed that morning and had ask God for favor and grace as she discuss her situation with the landlord and that God should grant her victory, since she has no help from anyone. So, when the landlord shows such understanding to her situation and also granted her such leniency, she knew it was the doing of the Lord and the Lord had heard her cry, when everyone had rejected to help her when she needed the help most.

Psalm 145:14 14 The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. This story reveals what it means by the Lord truly been the one who upholds all those who falls and lifts all those who are bowed down. This means when troubles come an individual's way and beat up on down till the point where they have lost hope and given up or going to give up. And all human efforts have failed and continue to fail. The Lord the creator with an unlimited power and strengthen is the only person that can truly hold such a person up and life him or her up. By giving them hope that all is not lost and equally by giving them strengthen and direction to find the path that will lead them out of their troubles into a path of victory and success. To the amazement of the individual and those who are around him or her. Today as an individual, family and also as a believer the Lord is the only one who can guarantee and lift a person up and one who is burned by problems. Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and receive His grace of mercy that brings about upliftment and comfort and peace.

Sarah is looking forward to tying the knot to her happy soon to be husband and was about a month away from sharing their vows. Her fiancé fell sick suddenly and had to be sent to the hospital and the news was not good and the wedding had to be cancelled to deal with her fiancé’s illness because of how serious the illness was and the devastating effect to his fiancé life. If a solution is not found immediately. As they left the hospital, she was quiet and bow her head and was so down because of her fiancé health and all the money that had already been put into the wedding preparation some are even nonrefundable. She was at a great loss and could not utter a word without crying. She felt the whole world has come tumbling down on her and her fiancé. Because of supporting her fiancé in his health battles, it has impacted her supervisory work to the point one day as she went to work, she was call into a meeting where, she was told her supervisory duty have been revoke and they are offering her a job as an ordinary team member and, they were taking her off the supervisory pay rate. This was a little bit late in the day as she was about to leave work. And right from the meeting with her manager, she left work and headed home. And as she drove home, she was so down cast, crying and felt so low and began to question her life and if it is any good. She had just moved into a new apartment and now she is wondering how she was going to make the monthly payments. And every moment she thought through her issues, the more she sunk lower and lower and could not lift her spirit up. From inside out she was a totally broken lady. She decided to take a break and visit her family and the Sunday her parents took her to church. And in church the preacher talked about the ability of the lord to make a way when all hope is gone and to lift all those who are heavily burden with troubles. Sarah left the church so energized, inspired and decided to trust the Lord through all her ordeal. As she went back to her home, she had to confront all these issues and things kept getting worse and worse to the point her fiancé health deteriorated so much in such a short span. She had to dedicate more time to him and as such it caused her job and had to vacate her rental home. But every time she was sad, worried, and anxious she reminded herself of the Lord in whom she trusted. And as her fiancé health remained in the final stages of his life. He participated in a proposed experimental treatment program designed to help individuals with this kind of disease. Sarah fiancé decided to participate in with a whole lot of others and surprising he responded well to the program with an additional three patient and within a short span of time, he was back on his feet and doing extremely well. Sarah was grateful for what the Lord did for her and her fiancé. To her surprise the same hospital that was treating her fiancé had an open executive assistant job which she applied for and was hired on the spot and the income was even a little higher than her previous supervisory rate. And within a few months her life had changed for the better with another shot of wedding bells down the road.
- The Lord the refuge, strengthen and every present helper. (Part B)
Psalm 46:1 Verse 1, God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. This story above tells of what it means as the lord is a refuge and strength and a present help in times of trouble. He is a refuge, because he provides the umbrella of protection and provision for the believer in times of difficulties, shielding the believer from all evil. He is the believer strengthen because He grants the believer the strong will and the hope to keep going on and fighting the issues in their lives as they trust Him to make a way for them. And an ever-present help in times of difficulties because he represents the only one who hold the believer hands and lift them up when they are down, so they can stand once again on their feet. If everyone abandons the believer and can help. The Lord Jesus Christ is the hope of rescue for the believer. Today if you are tired and about to throw in the towel or have already done so. As you read this message is not too late and also the Lord is every present to help and make away and bring about victory for you as a person and equally as a believer.

Jane has had a very difficult year; she started the year with a terrible diagnosis and has been in and out of the hospital and this has caused her to miss a lot of workdays. And eventually she had to quit her Job to take care of herself. This has presented a lot of financial struggles for her family. They had to downside, because of foreclosure of their dream house. Her grandson who is living with her as her daughter serves in the military has decided to abandon her first year of college and is at home and basically doing nothing all day. As she contemplates all of these situations in her life, she is at this point worn out and has given up entirely on any good that could ever come her way. As usual she attended one of her regular Sunday services and the pastor made reference of the verse above. She walked out of the service with this verse in her heart and decided to hold unto this verse and trust God for a miracle. And when she thought she has seen the worse in her life then come another unfortunate news been her husband was laid off from the only job sustaining the family, sinking the family financially increasing their woes. But as a family they decided to hold unto God by putting their trust completely in the Lord. And made the Lord their trust and strengthen. And Jane in particular relied completely on God as she battled with her illness. And also trusting the Lord to touch and change her grandson heart before her daughter returns from services. As she kept praying and holding on to the Lord to bring her out of her struggles and the family in general. Things got so worse they did not know where the next meal was going to come. In the midst of these struggles an experimental procedure was introduced to her. And Jane decided to try it, initially it was very hard on her body but after almost six months in the program her health condition turn around suddenly for the better to the surprise of her medical team that was treating her. And after a month in remission, she began to search for a Job and to her surprise her previous company called her if she was still available for work and when she said yes, they decided to double her pay. As the second semester of the first year started to her surprise her grandson came to her and decided to go back to college but one nearby. She worked with him to secure admission in their local community college, which he decided to attend and has been punctual and steady since his first day of school. Her husband is still looking for a job and has some good leads. As she contemplates about the turnaround, she gave credit to her trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and her prayers to Him when she decided to turn all her concerns to the Lord. And at one of the Sunday school services, she gave a testimony of how she and the family held unto the Lord in their difficult times and how the Lord kept them together in peace and harmony till eventually He turned things around for their good.
- Victory in Him
1 Corinthians 15:57 Verse 57, But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hilda has been a believer for a long time and very active in her church and involved and leads many groups in the church. She is just a pure set of fresh air, when you come across her. One of the higher givers in her church. Recently just built her dream home and had an open house, which was received with great reviews. But the economic hardship that most businesses are going through affected the company she works for, and the company has been bought out by a rival. Because of this, she was let go and it’s been months and she still hasn’t found a job. Eventually she had to vacate her newly built house through foreclosure. And had to downside to renting with her family and this has been the hot topic in church and among her family and friends and the shame is so unbearable. To make things worse, her mother-in-law who has been living with them for a long time has fallen sick and she as usual is managing the circumstances. The most unfortunate situation is she also is going through a trial medical procedure to help deal with her recent medical diagnosis. All of these have set in place a lot of mental, emotional and physical pressures in her life which have become unbearable. Her niece who she has taken ownership as her own daughter is having some difficulties in her final year in college and having a hard time passing a particular class critical to her graduation. As she contemplates all of these that are happening to her, she decided to go deeper into her faith and found the verse above. She took the verse and applied it to her life and as things kept getting worse, the more she used this verse as a prayer line or stand in her life. And after a long haul of issues upon issues, situation began to turn around as she was able to find a comparable job with a similar salary enabling her and the family to once again buy another property decent enough and within their budget. She is still managing her mother-in-law situation. But her experimental procedure is working now, and her disease is entering the remission state. As her niece is also managing to stick it out to finish and finish well. As she contemplates about her life, she realizes of the truth how the Lord word stand true and that in Christ Jesus there is true victory. This is what the verse above represents the believer has to know in the Lord Jesus Christ, the believer has victory in every area of his or her life. Whether is relationship, health, or struggling with faith or walking in any form of weakness. The Father through the Lord Jesus Christ has given the believer complete victory over the world and what the world presents to the believer. The only thing is thanking God and have a grateful heart to the Lord and keeping trusting the word of God in Jesus Christ. Today, if you as a believer is struggling learn to trust the Lord with a grateful heart knowing that victory is already accomplished and establish and guaranteed in the Lord.
- Finding True Food and Joy in Christ
Luke 6:21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. There are a lot of spiritual hunger in society nowadays, when we see the moral breakdown of our society that is so engrossed in deception across all status of lives and societies. This means leaders who are supposed to portray and display moral aptitude rather are doing contrary and are lying continuous about what they promise to do and are not able to follow through with their promises and continuous disappointing those who have put their trust in them. Also, the level of intolerance found in our society nowadays and divisiveness the society has become and how this divisiveness is bringing the inability to work for the common good have grown leaps and bounds. And within the family there is so much spiritual depravity, spouses are not faithful to one another, parents are equally not faithful to their children and cannot keep their word. And the moral depravity of the home where is supposed to be the pillar of truth and safety is also gone. And the family arenas are in confusion and disarray. This has created a superficial life, that displays individuals who are so self-centeredness. Also when we look at our society the level of poverty has grown across the globe and the level of struggles, and the prevalence of diseases have also grown ridiculously. And the level of wickedness has grown right from the family to society as at large. There is so much dissatisfaction in relationships in all spears of life everyone is crying and is in sorrow. Nowadays the next major event in the news is not inspiring news but rather dark and gloomy, despairing and discouraging news has become the order of events for each day. The good news is there is a hope that can and always turn such dark situation to inspiring, hopeful and joyful situation through the food this hope provides. And the hope is Jesus Christ, He presents to all who are hungry because of moral breakdown with a new way of living that build a person in righteousness and holiness, so they can be full to the brim. And when they are satisfied, their heart burst into the continuous oil of Joy and peace. Evidence through unceasing laughter in this present life and also most importantly in the future life of eternity awaiting to manifest. Today if you are hungry and this spiritual starvation has resulted in sorrow and pain, the Lord of creation hands are open wide to receive you to feed you with spiritual nourishing food that will produce present and eternal joy in your heart causing a continuous smile on your face. Come to Him and find the true food, which produce the true joy that never perish.
- Jesus Christ will heal any sickness brought to Him by faith
He heals. Acts 10:38 Verse 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. This is what the Lord Jesus Christ does for all who put their trust in Him and goes to Him for deliverance and healing. And this has always been what the Lord has been doing since his completed work of salvation many thousands of years ago. And He does not change and is still in the business of healing the sick and delivering all those who are oppressed by the enemy and are under his prison directing them to harm themselves. Christ came and was anointed by the father with power with the sole purpose to do good. And good is bringing wholeness to a person holistically from inside out. And set them in the path of righteousness of recognition of the good of God in the Lord Jesus Christ and giving them the heart to be obedient to God and positioning them to receive all the promises in Christ which are sure and unfailing and free to the one who believes.

Real life Scenario Tim has been addicted to drugs and it started with prescription drugs to manage his pain and it grew to all sort of drugs. And this has sent him to the hospitals on many occasions because of overdose and nearly dying from these drugs. His family has done everything in their power to take him to the best rehabilitation clinics to see if he can recover from this drug addiction which has literally destroyed his life. And it has come to nothing, and when he stops for a while, then he relapses and keeps going back. Because of this he cannot even hold a job and make decent money, fortunately her family is well off and as such is able to help him. But at the slight instance, he steals and uses the money for drugs and because of this behavior he has lost respect, and no one wanted him around. Met Jesus Christ In the midst of this hopelessness, against all advise her sister who happened to belong to this charismatic church which believe in casting out demons decided to take her brother to church. As the day came, his brother arrived so high he could barely stand and see anything and was extremely late. But been determined she took Tim to church, and it was right at the time when they were praying for all sorts of individual with addiction. Tim volunteered to go in front of the church and prayer was heavily administered on his behalf for almost thirty minutes. Tim woke up early the next morning and his normal routines is taking some prescription drugs and also smoke as much as he can to get him going. But for some reason, he had no desires to do this and rather went straight to the breakfast table to have breakfast with the whole family and had a decent conversation with her family. And since then, he has desisted from participating in any drugs, went to the doctor for his annual check which has been a longtime and has begun to live a normal life and is involved heavily in her sister church. After almost three months into his sudden recovery and change his family began to attest, Tim has really changed for the better. As the family sat by the dinner table recalling all this miracle in their beloved son life, they narrowed it to when her sister took him to church and the prayers that was offered. And since this transformation, Tim whole entire family have made her sister church where they also fellowship.

Real life scenarios Cindy has since her childhood had this mental illness of depression and anxiety and is so severe, it at times prevents him from even leaving his house and even been among others. And has prevented her from having a quality relationship with her own family and hardly has any friends. The severity of the situation and her inability to be fully engaged has caused her to be an angry person and is very hard for you to have a conversation with her which does not end up with her yelling all the time. And these and many more has made her a very disturbed person and unsettled individual. As you will think life can’t get worse, she recently has been diagnosed with a debilitating disease that prevents mobility and it keeps growing worse each day. And this is where Cindy finds her health status and she has really had a really hard life, but she is gracious managing her health. Met Jesus Christ She has great resentment against God because of her situation and have for a long time decided not to every go to church. But because of a special church program celebrating her grandmother, she decided to attend anyway. The pastor made a general prayer and surprising began to pray for every person there with any sort of situation. At the end of the program and Cindy was heading home with the family she felt a sense of relief but kept it to herself and even her mobility as she walked began to improve. And since then, she has really improved to the surprise of her medical team. And even mentally and emotionally she is so calm and very tolerating. An assessment was totally done on her, and the outcome was all of her illness was in remission but recommended she should still come for her monthly checkup for a whole two years to ensure all is well. As Cindy left her doctor’s office and recalling all the good things happening to her, she closed it in at the time of her grandmother’s services and the prayers offered and accepting the prayer in her life. And from that moment of the prayers offered and feeling better each day, she has not stop living and serving the Lord Jesus Christ and has become a wonder in her family and friends and the community.
