Psalm 145:14
14 The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
Sarah is looking forward to tying the knot to her happy soon to be husband and was about a month away from sharing their vows. Her fiancé fell sick suddenly and had to be sent to the hospital and the news was not good and the wedding had to be cancelled to deal with her fiancé’s illness because of how serious the illness was and the devastating effect to his fiancé life. If a solution is not found immediately. As they left the hospital, she was quiet and bow her head and was so down because of her fiancé health and all the money that had already been put into the wedding preparation some are even nonrefundable. She was at a great loss and could not utter a word without crying. She felt the whole world has come tumbling down on her and her fiancé.
Because of supporting her fiancé in his health battles, it has impacted her supervisory work to the point one day as she went to work, she was call into a meeting where, she was told her supervisory duty have been revoke and they are offering her a job as an ordinary team member and, they were taking her off the supervisory pay rate. This was a little bit late in the day as she was about to leave work. And right from the meeting with her manager, she left work and headed home. And as she drove home, she was so down cast, crying and felt so low and began to question her life and if it is any good. She had just moved into a new apartment and now she is wondering how she was going to make the monthly payments. And every moment she thought through her issues, the more she sunk lower and lower and could not lift her spirit up. From inside out she was a totally broken lady.
She decided to take a break and visit her family and the Sunday her parents took her to church. And in church the preacher talked about the ability of the lord to make a way when all hope is gone and to lift all those who are heavily burden with troubles. Sarah left the church so energized, inspired and decided to trust the Lord through all her ordeal.
As she went back to her home, she had to confront all these issues and things kept getting worse and worse to the point her fiancé health deteriorated so much in such a short span. She had to dedicate more time to him and as such it caused her job and had to vacate her rental home. But every time she was sad, worried, and anxious she reminded herself of the Lord in whom she trusted. And as her fiancé health remained in the final stages of his life. He participated in a proposed experimental treatment program designed to help individuals with this kind of disease. Sarah fiancé decided to participate in with a whole lot of others and surprising he responded well to the program with an additional three patient and within a short span of time, he was back on his feet and doing extremely well.
Sarah was grateful for what the Lord did for her and her fiancé. To her surprise the same hospital that was treating her fiancé had an open executive assistant job which she applied for and was hired on the spot and the income was even a little higher than her previous supervisory rate. And within a few months her life had changed for the better with another shot of wedding bells down the road.
