Acts 10:38 Verse 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Various sickness There are two main situations that can regress a person’s life especially in this current times. And caused a person to have a life of mess. And when these two things are negatively working in a person’s life. It has the ability to take the oil of peace from such an individual and present such a person with conflict, confusion and misery. And these two things are being demon possessed by the enemy and also sickness. These two situations have no respect for anyone whether you are great or small. It can come after anyone and destroy such a person’s life. If a person is sick, whatever the sickness is a mental illness like depression and anxiety, it will prevent such a person to be fully engaged in life and as such enjoy life. And always stuck and cannot progress and have to become dependent on medication to get by and sometimes the medication has such terrible side effects creating all sorts of situations with the person. There are those who are sick, emotional and have all sorts of anger issues, at the small onset of a conversation, which does not go their way. They get so angry that you cannot even be in their presence. And as such is very hard to have a relationship with such an individual because you do not know what conversation you will have with such an individual to set him going and possible been hurt by him or her. And when a person is physically sick with any debilitating ailment, it stops their joy, mobility and their ability to be useful in life. It creates a general sense of hopelessness and helplessness based on the intensity of the situation. They don’t even see the need to live. A prime example is if a person is sick and must be fed and carried around. This can be really depressing especially if the individual was very active in the past. Demon possessed. Demons and evil spirits have no respect for any human being because they feel they have been around for a long time and as such when they find an easy victim. They occupied such an individual take resident in the person spirit and as such influencing their mind in a way that steers them from Christ and lead them to indulge in destructive behaviors. A prime example is a person who is drug addicted and has gone to every rehab program but cannot get rid of these drug problems till it finally destroy them. Another is any person who does not want to embrace Jesus Christ as the true savior of the world is under demonic oppression by the enemy been steered to do his will. These are all signs of a person who is demonic possessed. Even some physical ailments are demonic driven and at times the doctor can do whatever they want to but still cannot find a solution out. The scenarios above is all the many ways a person can be sick and suffer from diseases.

1 peter 5: 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Iris just lost her dream job and is in such anguish and sorrow. She hopes to find a job soon because she has begun to feel the financial impact of losing the job. And is late on her mortgage and has received a letter from the bank about foreclosure of her house and also the repossession of her car. She has done a couple of interviews, gone through the final stages and was not picked. This has happened a couple of times and she is begun to fret and is anxious because she realizes soon, she might become homeless and without a car. She is very independent and the mere fact of depending on others for help is something she does not envision. She has been exploring her faith lately and decided to attend her local church. And one Sunday service the pastor encouraged the church to trust their issues with God for help and not try to handle it solely on their own, so it does not create unnecessary anxiety and prevent them from have a joyful life as promised in the Lord. Iris took it to heart and decided to trust the Lord with her job issues, since trusting her job issues with the Lord and trusting the Lord in due time will reward her accordingly. She has found this unbelievable peace within herself. Conditions have not changed and have gotten worse, but she is working with the bank on a different payment's agreement on her mortgage and also the bank which has a lien on her car. And the banks seem to be willing to work with her. And that is even a miracle to her, she has lately cut down on a lot of eating outside and luxury things she did, which she never thought she could do away with. But with all these changes, she has found comfort in her current situation and is content and is not bothered at all. She has been finding difficulty in meeting her monthly grocery expenses, but God has made provision every month and the need is all ways met. After a while, through a conversation with her brother she indicated how she has found comfort in all the temporary issues she is going through and currently has no worries as when she initially lost her job. Accrediting the soundness to her total trust in God. Today if you are a believer and is stress out causing all sort of anxiety turn and follow the course of Iris and give the Lord all your burdens, He will truthfully grant you peace and joy in replacement to the anxiety, sorrow the world expects and brings on us. And He has affirmed this unfailing promise through His writing world indicated in 1 peter 5:7.

Mattewe 11:28 “Come to me,s all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Ernest has been in a couple of relationships, and it has not worked out and has been really stressed out lately. After giving himself to the Lord and he just concluded how can he ever find the woman of his dreams to share life. After a couple of Christian concerts, he come across Irene, and they develop a wonderful relationship. And as they are dating, they have decided to save intimacy after marriage. Ernest has found more joy, peace through this decision because he is learning to know Irene on such a personal manner and level with such respect. And approaching the relationship in this perspective has made him see Irene more than just trying to become intimate with her but to embrace her true value. And Irene is also experiencing the same comfort. This is an example of what the Lord can do, He gave Ernest rest from all his failed relationship because he always began it from the wrong perspective with the wrong expectation. As such it never ended well. Because he failed to experience, women are more than trying to take them to bed. And through his new obedience in knowing how to truly approach a relationship in the Lord’s way absent of having intimacy with them until marriage occurs, he has found a new perspective which works through the Lord and produces peace and rest as he has found with Irene.

Mattewe 11:28 “Come to me,s all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. The world presents so much to us, there is so much that goes into accomplishing our daily chores in life. Getting up early in the morning, preparing and going to sit at work for eighty hours and after that coming back home to continue the cycle. And even the money earned is not enough to meet the daily needs of rent, car payment, basic necessities in life. There are those who work twelve-hour shifts, and these are very brutal shifts that can drain every energy out of a person and still have to come home to deal with meeting the needs of the family. There are those who earn a lot, but the amount of money and unnecessary expectations placed on them makes their life so stressful and many have abandoned their jobs or careers for other less paying jobs to find peace. And they cannot even meet their daily expectations but happy they don’t have that stressful job. These are the many issues the world presents to us. And many people have ended up being sick because of the pressures of meeting their daily needs. There are those who the world has really beaten up and as such have ended up been depressed, alcoholic and some have even become homeless. The good news to the story is the creator has offered His hand of help in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. And His offer is He created and control this life and know how the system can work to a person favor. And He is the giver of life and prosperity and the only person who can lift the struggling individual burden because He formed, created it and as such is in the position to offer the right remedy of relief. And bring about true comfort and joy in this present time and even in the future life of immortality set to come. Christ been compassionate indicated in the verse 28, everyone should examine himself or herself and after the examination if they feel stressed out and burden through what the world is presenting to them. They should come to Him been Jesus Christ because He holds the true remedy to deliverance, restoration and joy in this life. And the only one who can offer a true sense of security in the midst of chaos. The great thing is He promises rest meaning peace and joy as He delivers from conflict and confusion and loss.

This is why the scriptures indicate in proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. From the verse above it is clear, it is the blessing of God which truly brings prosperity and wellbeing not otherwise. But it takes the share blessing of the Lord found in Jesus Christ alone to truly equip a person to have all the necessary tools to succeed in everything they do eventually leading to spiritual riches and physical riches where they lack nothing. Spiritual riches refer to righteousness and contentment and physical riches refers to success in every effort been job, business etc. and having more than enough and been able to enjoy the wealth and been a blessing to those who don’t have. A prime example is Amma just got promoted to be an executive overseeing one of the product divisions of her company. This is a very struggling product division with their products and has resulted into five highly performing individual losing their job and others been demoted. She walked into the role knowing this is the end of her career with the company. As a believer she trusted the Lord and committed her duties and how to perform the duties to the Lord. Through the Lord guidance, she was able to make some management and team member changes. Brought in some new fresh team members which felt that was going to be a road to success and through these changes reassigned the older staff. In her first-year things were not doing great initially but they managed to break even and as her team got used to how things work and working as a team subsequent year saw gradually increase and not long the products from this product division stood at par with the most selling products in the company. When asked how she did it, Amma indicated she prayed and had a sense God was directing her to make those changes against what everyone assumed was a failing path. But as she stuck to God’s direction things have worked out well to God’s glory. The story above is a typical scenario of the many victories, God through Jesus Christ brings to those who put their trust in Him. Today trust in God and let Him give you victory in all your endeavors.

Third challenge The third challenge had to do with the aspiration of life and personal goals and achievement that everyone who is in this world wants to achieve. There is the aspiration to be leaders, medical professions, entrepreneurs, scientist etc. There is aspiration to build business, homes and also just find a decent work to meet daily and family needs and be a helper to those who are less disadvantage in society. This the world also presents, and every person is pursuing these goals so they can have a decent and healthy life. No one wants to be poor and not be in a position to take care of themselves, family and help those who they want to help. Every person has aspiration to be something in this life and achieve greatness as they defined it. We all grow up wanting to be doctors, teachers, pilots etc. And these are all aspiration in life. But as much as we can define what we want to be in this life, it comes with hard work and been fortunate and by been at the right place at the right time. So it is not that easy for someone to achieve his or her dreams, which will bring about prosperity and wellbeing. In the nutshell or brief to do well, so as to meet one’s daily needs and the needs of others. There are many stumbling blocks that comes in a person way and some of the stumbling blocks is the time involved to achieve a dream, the amount of energy and time needed to invest to attain a goal, those who will be fighting discrimination wise to ensure that you don’t achieve the dream. This and many more are some of the issues a person can be confronted with as the pursue the path for financial prosperity and general wellbeing. In Christ as indicated above God has granted all who are in Christ victory over all the process involved for the believer to reach his or her destination of prosperity and wellbeing. And the victory in Christ is, God has given the believer the power been the wisdom, knowledge and discipline and also the hard work and grace and favor to the believer. So the believer will be equipped in all areas to be successful in everything the believer does, so as to achieve prosperity. In times the believer falls short and is wanting to quit the Lord through Jesus Christ will encourage the believer not to quit because there are better days ahead. This is why the scriptures indicate in proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Second Challenge The second challenge has to deal with the level of hate that results in persecution and trials for all who abandon the ways of the world and accept God and as such decides to live for Christ. Those who have decided to walk the recommended path of Jesus Christ been administered through the word of God under the leadership and influence of the Holy Spirit. These individuals have to continual deal with various trials and hardship because of this stance they have taken in the Lord. As indicated in the above paragraph, any person who has decided to follow the Lord has automatically become an enemy of the ruler of this world which is the devil and hence he will raise all hell against the believer with the objective to discourage the believer from pursuing the things of Christ and eventually stop the believer from fulling their call in Jesus Christ. The reason been it is only through the accomplish work of Christ and those carrying the accomplish work of Christ, that has defeated and continue to defeat the enemy and his kingdom. Hence He will do all that he can to discourage the believer from doing and serving the Lord faithfully. Secondly, he just doesn’t want the work of Christ to continue knowing that when a person lives for Christ through their lifestyle and also pursue evangelism to win souls to Christ a person is saved and brings joy to the Lord. Hence the enemy will do all things in his power to make sure this does not happen. Hence with these reasons and more the enemy uses the world as a resistant against the believer to stop the believer from their services and reverence to God. A prime example is recently Iris just started an Ice cream company and has been doing extremely well across the city and state she runs her business. The business has grown leaps and bounds and employs a lot of people in the state and also is involved in many communities funding. They have always indicated the company is a Christian company and their operation is based on their Christian values. This means they are pro-life and against any form of abortion. This hard stance they have taken has resulted in a lot of organization who are pro-choice to declare their stance not to buy any of her company ice cream products. And this stance has really hurt their operations and their business. And because of this had to close some stores so to remain profitable and sustainable. Instead of backing down on their stance of pro-life and funding and supporting pro-life organization, they have even voice out more their stance that if the business will have to be dissolve because of their stance. They are ready to dissolve and will not let down on their values of being against every form of abortion because God is the one who gives life and is the final judge of all life. As they declare their continuous effort to stand behind their values, after a while of operations tumbling, business has started to pick up as many of the Christian organization and groups have also rally around them and many who are also pro-life and indifferent have decided to support their business. And because of these series of event their business has begun to experience tremendous participation which has led to increasing sales and growth, that has resulted into reopening some of the stores they close. The story above is what it means by the persecution which arises from following Christ. The company experience this persecution but they continue to stand for Christ in the midst of their persecution, and the Lord was faithful and touch many hearts to begin to patronize their business. And this turn the tables around again as their business begun to pick up. This is just an example of the persecution that comes from following the Lord. The good news is the more the believer is able to stand for the Lord, the lord always makes a way and grant the believer victory as seen in the story above. Today if you are facing persecution, continue to stand for the Lord, continue to do good because eventually God will honor your faithfulness and make a way where there seems no way.

First Challenge As we reference the first challenge the world presents which is a way of living and a morality that is hostile to the ways of the Lord and is out of line with the ways of God. And which has outcomes of death and destruction in the present times and the future life to come. And this is the first situation with the world that every person has to learn to deal with including the believer. Fortunately, the Lord has granted the believer a way out and is as indicated below. With this challenge this is how the believer overcomes and it is adhering to this truth. The truth been anyone who comes to Christ especially the believer. When the believer comes to Christ, the first thing the Lord does is to open the believer mind and heart to the truth and to convict the believer of sin. And when this happens and the believer response according and gives himself or herself to the Lord. Then from there the Lord grants the believer the strengthen to live a righteous and holy life continuous helping the believer not to embrace sin and making the believer feeling very uncomfortable when they sin and rather to find peace in doing what is right. And giving the believer the clarity as to the ways of the world and the outcome of those ways and how it ends to death and destruction in this present time and the future to come. A prime example is Henry and Harry has been friends for a long time since childhood and were Sunday school buddies also and graduated from the same college. They recently went back home for their high school homecoming. Henry noticed Harry was not looking right and asked him whether all is well and that he has been keeping up with church. Harry indicated to Henry the growth of his faith and always striving to do the right thing. Henry was waiting for Harry to go to homecoming and instead of Harry showing up Henry received a call to come to the hospital because his friend had overdose and was lucky to be alive. As Henry visited his friend and stayed through the whole week through the next weekend to make sure he was well. Harry shameful admitted he had lied to henry about his ways and has been heavily addicted to drugs and can seem to come out. Henry been a Christian forgave his friend and after Harry spoke the truth sponsored his friend to his church drug rehabilitation program. After months of treatment Harry gave his life to Christ and has been committed to his faith and it has led to a totally changed individual. Who has taken up employment in the same rehab center and has been counseling and helping others who are going through such ordeal. This story shows how Harry through His friends help, who took it upon himself to take care of his friend because it is the right thing to do led to a complete transform individual totally delivered from alcohol and leading a victorious life in Christ and as such helping others. And also, we see Harry whose life was a total mess because he was walking in the sinful ways of the world of lying and drugs and the outcome nearly cost his life and also his salvation. Through Christ working through Henry, Harry overcame what the word presented him been sin and lead him to a path of righteousness found in Christ Jesus. Today if you are struggling with sin, whatever it might be. Christ is ever present to set you free and give you a new beginning as He did for Harry and set you on the path of victory. If you are confuse about the truth and walking in the sinful ways of the world, the outcome is lost and destruction. Come to the truth in the person of Jesus Christ and what he presents so you be able to have life and a truly enjoyable life

Verse 4, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. As much as there are these challenges or hardships associated with the world or found in the world. And every person has to deal with it especially the believer. Fortunately for the believer God has made a way for the believer to find a winning way and the way is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. And the winning way is found in the beginning in verse 4. In the verse 4, it inscribe every person that is born of God has overcome the world and all the challenges it comes with, and most of the challenges are summarized in the first post and will be dealt with in subsequent post. This means every person, whether a believer or unbeliever should come to terms the only path for victory over the world is found when the individual is born of God. If God does not give birth to a person is virtually impossible for such a person to ever overcome the world and not only the world but the one who rules the world because of sin. Meaning the ruler of sin who continuous to bombard the world with sin so that he can continue to rule the world and have dominion. The only way to defeat him and the world is through a birth by God the creator Himself. And the verse 4 continue to indicated how the believer becomes born by faith, and it is clearly seen through the believer faith. The faith of the believer in God is what makes the believer to be born of God. But the million-dollar question is everyone has faith in God. Having faith in God does not make the individual to be born by God and as such have the winning key of victory over the world. The scriptures does not end there but continue to narrow and define what kind of faith in God brings about the victory for the believer. And the such faith is defined clearly in the verse 5 the last sentence which indicates “Only the one who believes the Jesus is the Son of God”. This means when a person places their faith in Jesus Christ and come to believe Christ is the son of God meaning the true savior of the Lord and also is the same as God having power to deliver, save and give life and life eternal and immortality. Such a person has been born again. As referred to Jesus in John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again and 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. From these verses even when a person is born into the world through normal conception meaning through human effort been his or her birth parent. The individual can be born again through the Spirit been the Spirit of God because God is Spirit and as such to be born by God is only through the Spirit and this is only possible through coming to faith in Jesus Christ. Then when that happens such an individual becomes born again through Christ accomplish work through the Spirit of God. Because the Spirit of God is found only in Christ and accomplish God new birth through Christ. And so believing and having total trust in Christ represent the new birth of the Spirit and this new birth places sonship with the one who has believed in Christ and has been marked by the Spirit as a permanent child of God. And when this conception of the new person is done through Christ been performed by the Holy Spirit the divine Spirit of God. Then such an individual has obtained the power been the wisdom and strengthen to deal with all the challenges the world will present to him or her and still come out successful. This is why and how the believer who has already trusted the Lord obtain victory over the world. Today if you haven’t accepted the lord or fully surrender to the Lord. This is the time to surrender so the available strengthen that overcome the world will be giving unto you to have victory over the world and its ruler been the enemy of everything good.

1 John 5: 4 through 5 Verse 4, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. The world In this posting, the believer will be presented with the reality of the victory they have obtain in the Lord. But to get to the reality of the victory the believer has obtained in the Lord. Let talk about the world and its meaning in the believer life. When scriptures make reference to the world, it is not talking about nature and how beautiful it looks and how satisfying and comforting nature can be to life. Just going outside and admiring nature the heavens and nature, life can be so peaceful and satisfying. And this is not what the world in these scriptures means but here the world is making reference to the ways of the world. The recommended ways of the world that dwells in sin and does not want to recognize God and the true promise savior in the person of Jesus Christ and the recommended ways the lord wants the world to live. Ways when a person walks in becomes an enemy to God, misses everything the Lord has for them and also invites tremendous persecution. This is what the world presents to humanity and a situation the believer has to learn to deal with continuously in their life. The victory over the world represents the world challenges every person has to come to terms and overcome to ensure they live a truly fulfilled life. And these challenges are general found in three categories as indicated as follows. First Challenge In summary the world presents a way of living and a set of moral ways which is hostile to the ways of the Lord and is out of line with the ways of God. And which has outcomes of death and destruction in the present times and the future life to come. And this is the first challenge the world throws at every person and including the believer. There are challenges that comes with pursuing and wanting to achieve these goals as we reside in this world, and the believer has to overcome all of these challenges as it pertains to the particular ambition to have a truly fulfilled victorious life. Today are you at crossroads, take heart because at the end of this post you will know the solution is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ is far superior. Verse 27, The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” From the scriptures above the disciples after witnessing Christ rebuke of the storms and as such the storms have responded to His rebuke and have totally calmed down. They were in total shock and disbelieve with the level of calmness of the sea. They began to wonder and talk among each other about who Christ represent. That not only does the demons bowed down to Him but even the winds and waves that cannot be tamed respect and honor His request. They knew from this point on the superiority of Christ. They knew from this moment Christ was far above all of their kings, religious leaders and any human being they have read, encountered in their whole adult life. The believer The believer in this same regard have to realize Christ is God, His works makes Him far superior than any person that have, will ever live. This is the reason why He is the only solid rock and the only dependable person for a person to put their hope and rest their life in Him. Every other person and systems fail but Christ does not fail. The world can fail, but Christ remains forever and is willing to bring peace into the believers life. Today if the believer is struggling and going through the storms of life. Christ is the only source of hope that can bring deliverance and restoration resulting into peace and wellbeing. The believer should put their ultimate trust and hope in Christ instead of themselves.

What Christ Did Verse 26, He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The question that remains is what outcome came out of the disciples’ efforts and wise act by waking Christ up. As identified clearly in the scriptures above, when Christ woke up, He attended to the needs of the disciples by rebuking the fierce storms. And after His rebuke as shown clearly the waters became complete calm. Meaning it was as if there were never any raging waves or storms. Everything went back to normal and the disciples’ lives were saved. This is what the Lord Jesus Christ did for the disciples when they turn their needs to Him when they realize how insignificant or weak they were. And Christ was even able to identify the weakness of the disciples of how little faith they had and fearful they were after been with Christ. The current believer Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever and His love and care does not change and will never change and equally He is always available to do the same for anyone who will put their trust and hope in Him. He has the ability and is willing in the same way ready to calm every storm in the believers life no matter how impossible it might seem. Jesus Christ is ever ready to rebuke the storms that have risen in the believer’s life. Even if the storms looks impossible, Christ is the God of all possibility and will calm the storm and bring restoration to the one who has entrusted his or her life to Him. Christ will bring such calmness in the believers life and calmness of restoration that it will seem the believer never even went through any difficulties. This is what Christ can do, He is the one and only who can calm every trial, challenge in the believers life and bring about wholeness to the believer. Today if you a believer facing storms turn it over to the storm calmer. So that He can bring peace and joy to your life.
